Buffer storage tanks store heat, separate generation from consumption, and reduce peak loads. They stabilize and increase the efficiency of heating systems (heat pumps, solar thermal systems) and lower operating costs through fewer start-up and shut-down cycles and lower peak loads. In combination storage tanks, they also support domestic hot water demand. They enable more flexible usage periods and improve control and temperature management.
